Dear family and friends,
This is my beautiful father, Brendan Allen Lawson.
I am making this page, and asking for donations, because in 2003 a call to Lifeline gave me two extra weeks with my dad. Two extra weeks of hearing his voice, being held by him, and living in a world where he's still there.
I am raising money in memory of my father because no child should have to grow up without their dad, and no father should feel their child will be better off without them. The simple fact of the matter is that we aren't, and I would give anything to have my father back.
It's been almost 23 years and despite never really knowing him, I miss him every day.
On another note, it's because of Lifeline that I'm still here myself. I very nearly followed in my father's footsteps and I'm still healing, still hurting, but I'm here.
Yes crisis counselling seems weird, yes you might dread actually calling them, call anyways. The people who love you will be glad you did
