Dear family and friends,
With the utmost anguish and heartbreak, I have to let you know that my loving partner Roy died suddenly last Sunday 30th August and will be forever missed. Beloved son to Jos and Margo. Footy loving, doting father figure to Jack and Marina. Larrikin and caring brother/in law to Jeanette & Adam and Yvette & Kieran and fun-loving uncle to Anika and Tash. The family would like to invite all friends to celebrate his life by wearing a touch of colour at 10.30am on Tuesday 15th Sept in Forestville at ‘Our Lady of Good Counsel’ followed by a wake at 12pm at Belrose Club.
The K was for kind as was summed up so eloquently by The Australian yesterday.

Jane, when you go through the treasure chest (old email accounts and pics) of memories of Roy, it brings up more laughter than tears. He was reliably irreverent, he could cauterise editorial drama and the pressures of the newsroom with one sharp larrikin line. Australia needs more Roy’s. I’m so sorry Jane, and to your family and friends who loved him most. We all had such affection for Roy, may he rest in peace.
